1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash). During onboarding, you provide character configuration preferences. When you use the chat feature, your messages are processed and stored.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the OpenCuddle service, including generating AI companion responses via third-party AI providers (currently OpenRouter). Your conversation data is used solely to maintain conversation context and improve your experience.

3. AI Processing

Your messages are sent to third-party AI model providers through OpenRouter to generate companion responses. These providers process your messages in real-time. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

4. Data Storage

Your account data, character configurations, and conversation history are stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication session management. We may use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the service is used. No advertising cookies are used.

6. Age Requirement

OpenCuddle is intended for users 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account and all associated data through the platform or by emailing us directly.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (Supabase for storage, OpenRouter for AI processing) and as required by law.
